The bride is still a powerful symbol in today’s society, even if lots of people no longer hold the religious traditions. Getting married is still at the core of our society, so we pay a lot of importance to the event, and a lot of the initial customs have been maintained, albeit for cultural reasons. There are, however, things that have changed as well, such as the fact that in modern Western civilization, it is no longer mandatory for the bride to wear a white gown. Most women still opt for it because it is the perfect choice, but they are no longer bound by an irrelevant tradition. In general, the way the bride is presented at the wedding has changed, and there are a lot more opportunities for her to be unique nowadays.
In today’s article we want to focus on the bride’s hairstyle; more precisely, we want to look at a few bridal short hairstyles that further argument our theory that a bride’s do’s and don’ts have changed. Moreover, we want to prove that it is perfectly possible to be unique, lovely and mesmerizing, feminine and in the center of attention, even without long, long tresses of hair and intricate hairstyles. In fact, you may even be more interesting, the freshest gal at the party. That being said, turn your eyes to the first picture; as you can see, the girl doesn’t have very short hair, but rather a medium haircut with nothing special; yet the results are amazing, even though there isn’t much going on there. The combination between her red hair, the loose curls at the bottom, and the gorgeous head piece make her look like a bohemian princess, slightly inspired by 20s fashion. All you have to do is create a very wide parting, confer a bit of volume at the top, add the biggest curls you can at the bottom, and top it all off with some hairspray.
Bridal short hairstyles can look good even when the hair is very short, like in the picture above. This is a rather simple and straightforward pixie cut, with nice fading bangs. Here, the bride simply attached a flower and lace headpiece, immediately obtaining a simple bridal hairstyle; you can adapt it by adding a bit more volume, or by replacing the head piece with gem-studded pins. Another option is to go for a very smooth and sleek look, ideal for the pixie. Create a very wide and defined parting and add a lot of shine with product, and the result will be a spectacular hairstyle. Any of these hairstyles can also become wedding hairstyles for bridesmaids – just make sure you’re not overshadowing the bride!
Finally, we want to propose one of the more romantic bridal short hairstyles, based on the classical bob haircut. This is a medium-length bob haircut which is longer in the front; it is made lovely by the side-swept bangs and the loose curls. To transform it into a bridal short hairstyle, add a large flower head piece like the model in the picture, a diamond tiara, or some pearl accessories. As you can see, bridal hairstyles can look just as lovely even when they are short, and they will still make you feel like a princess.
