The dropping temperatures are not a reason for you to stop dresses. Here are some ways to wear your favorite piece of clothing without freezing.
1. Layering With A Gown
Tons of balls and fancy events, not to mention weddings, happen during the winter season. To wear your favorite fancy gown in cold temperatures, go for layering. This allows you to stay warm when walking outdoors and remove the unnecessary layers when inside.
2. Create-A-Head-To-Toe Outfit
Make it look like those other pieces (meant to keep you warm) like jacket, leggings, and boots blend with your summer dress by choosing the same shades.
3. Go For Faux Fur
There are tons of pieces that you can wear even during the cooler months, so long as you put on some warm tights and a thick faux fur coat to keep you warm and comfortable.
4. Add Tights and A Cardigan
No matter how bothersome you perceive layering to be, it is actually practical and stylish. You can create an interesting look with a contrasting dress and cardigan, and then the colored tights. But even if you want to go low key, layering makes it simple for you to add or remove whenever you start to feel a degree colder or warmer.
5. Layer Below and Over
Even a silk dress can be dressed up differently, with some sweaters or cardigans, maybe even some skinny jeans.
6. Add A Blanket Scarf
These scarves are both dramatic and useful so that you can wrap yourself a little bit more when the wind blows in.
7. Wear A Lace Dress
Simply add a wool shawl (and tights) when you wear your lace dresses for fancier events so that you will not be shivering the entire time.
